Engagement Session Photography Advice Tip #1

Engagement Session Photography TIP: Engagement Location. Ask your photographer to recommend locations. Many brides pick locations but don't realize they would need a permit or the location is overcrowded (LACMA Lights I am looking at you). I love locations that allow for many different looks in one place so that you can change outfits. In Los Angeles we have variety but we also have traffic. Going from Malibu to Downtown just isn't feasible (and your hair won't hold up).

Pasadena Pasadena Colorado Street Bridgethis engagement photo on the Colorado Street Bridge in Pasadena is actually about 9 to 12 photos stitched together to give this unique look (then added a cool sky).

Pasadena gives lots of looks and is very uncrowded. The Colorado Street Bridge is great as well as the cleanest old alley's in So Cal. Plus it is close to Downtown.

Downtown Los Angeles

So many places within walking distance that allow you to photograph and get dramatic photos I love.

Santa Monica Pier

Santa Monica pier allows engagement photography and gives lots of different looks. Most beaches only give you sand, water and more sand.

I prefer 4 hour sessions in one of these locations so we can have fun and get to know each other and create beautifully unexpected photos.
